Construction in Gulf Gate Area

Sarasota County has contracted with Ajax Paving of Florida, LLC to resurface 38 roadway segments in Sarasota County. The project consists of milling and resurfacing, roadway base repairs, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ramp replacements with some sidewalk repairs. Construction on this project will begin the second week of February 2021 and should be complete within 6 months. This work will take place in the Gulf Gate Estates Neighborhood.

Construction will be done from 7AM to 7PM Monday – Saturday excluding holidays. Motorists may expect some lane closures during these times ad should seek alternate routes whenever possible. Door hangers will be placed at residences in advance of individual street resurfacing.

During construction, emergency vehicles have unrestricted access at all times. Pedestrians and motorists should use caution while traveling through the area and expect some minor delays.
