Beware of Fraud | Scam Phone Calls

The Sarasota County Sheriff has been seeing a trend in fraud where calls are being made to victims. The callers are claiming to be IRS or Microsoft, for example.

The IRS will not contact you by phone. If the IRS makes contact, it will be through the mail.

Please take precautions and never give out personal information over the phone to an unknown caller.
