The Board meets monthly to execute Association business. Due to very tight time constraints, we regret these meetings are not “open door”. We do, however, welcome members of the community with advance notice. If you would like to attend, or if you have an issue you would like the Board to address, please complete a request.

Committees & Volunteer Opportunties
GGCA’s strength lies in the talents of our volunteers. Committees are always welcoming new members. If there is an area or areas that interests you please use the contact link, below, and note your area of interest(s) so that our Volunteer Coordinator can direct you.
Responsible for the management of the GGCA website content, executing GGCA email blasts, and preparation and publication of web-posted materials
Collect and copy materials, Prepare packets of Welcome materials, Deliver packets to new residents.
Coordinate annual Membership campaigns, distribute Member Discount Cards, offer member enrollment at social events, represent GGCA in the community to encourage enrollments.
MEMBERSHIP DATA MANAGEMENT
Maintain Membership List, Update Demographics data, identify ownership changes and advise Welcoming of new residents, prepare monthly reports for Board review
Help with preparation of newsletters, membership campaign materials and other mailed notices, including sealing, labelling, sorting and mailing
Identify and notify (via mail) residents of deed restriction infractions, participate in mediation of infraction issues, help educate residents about deed restriction adherence, assist with deed restriction amendment questions
SOCIAL / SPECIAL EVENTS
Plan and coordinate social events, reach out to local businesses (Gulf Gate Village, etc.), engage community members as Association volunteers
BEAUTIFICATION / INFRASTRUCTURE
Communicate with appropriate County offices regarding street issues, non-functioning street lights, Gulf Gate monument signs (decoration and maintenance), median supervision (monitor and coordinate with County liaison), respond to flooding concerns, prepare and display meeting announcement signs
Coordinate Safety Patrol, Liaise with Sheriff’s Department, Maintain crime statistics, initiate speed mitigation as needed.
COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM
Oversee Community Emergency Response Team, Arrange training, Run appropriate drill exercises
Provide financial oversight, assist with the annual budget preparation, provide reporting on GGCA financial status, gather member data for Membership Committee to use for Discount Card distribution.
Recruit candidates for officer and Board positions for year-end election
